Teachers

There is something special about people who scrapbook. It is a quality that is hard to put your finger on, but a sort of connection of the heart with others who also love the art of scrapbooking and are passionate about creating beautiful legacies for future generations.

And there is something special about the teachers who are on our videos. These are not just women sitting around a table chatting about scrapbooking. These presenters are renowned scrapbookers, with years of scrapbooking experience, whose sole mission in these videos is to empower you with the skills and knowledge they have learned, so that you can enhance your own scrapbooking experience and results! I did mention that they actually show you these techniques step-by-step, didn’t I?

Not to forget our wonderful scrapbookers who feature in our inspiration videos – those who share their stories and their insights. Some are famous in the scrapbooking world, others are famous just to their family and friends, but we appreciate each and every one of them. Through sharing their thoughts and feelings, they teach us many lessons and perhaps a little about ourselves!

Now back to our teachers – check out their bios below…

Michelle Hartjes
Michelle's passion for this industry began in stamping more than 20 years ago, when as a young girl, her Mum gave her a stamp, an embossing pad and gold embossing powder. Things progressed to scrapbooking about nine years ago as scrapbooking was just being introduced into Australia. It was around this time that Michelle started her own stamping and scrapbooking business. Through this business Michelle met and formed some of her closest friendships, however she found that she had no time to do what she really loved, which was creating and teaching.

On closing the business, Michelle was offered a position at Print Blocks, Australia's largest scrapbooking supplies wholesaler, and has been with them for five years.

Michelle loves her current role of Key Educator, experimenting with new products, developing, teaching, demonstrating, coordinating and creating new class projects and display items. With the introduction of electronic cutting systems in May 2006, Michelle was delighted to become the Technical Adviser for Cricut in Australia.

Michelle's work has been published in Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations, For Keeps, Stamping and Papercraft, and Australian Paper Crafts magazines as well as being featured in Print Blocks ads on the back page of every Australian magazine. More recently, Michelle has appeared as a guest presenter on Scrapbook Creations DVD with Lorraine Bate (number 7).

All of this would not have been possible without the unconditional support of Michelle's loving husband Ed and her two gorgeous boys Liam and Jett.

Michelle Lindenmayer
Since being introduced to scrapbooking by a friend in 2002, Michelle Lindenmayer has not looked back. Scrapbooking has become one of her greatest passions in life and has seen her become a valued member of Brisbane’s Scrapbook City Design Team where she has, for the last two years, taught classes using the latest products and techniques. Michelle’s layouts have frequently been published in magazines such as Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations. Michelle is currently completing a heritage album and would like to get started on an album about her childhood and teens.

When she is not scrapbooking or working she enjoys reading novels, with her favourite author being Patricia Cornwell, as well as cooking, taking photos and spending time with her wonderful husband Brendan and her two children, Thomas (8) and Chelsea (6) who are the subjects of many of her layouts.  Michelle currently resides in Brisbane, Queensland.
