Page Pocket
A scrapbook page with a built-in pocket. Useful for holding memorabilia you may want to take out and look at.

Page Protector
A PVC-free and acid-free plastic sleeve or cover to protect each page in a scrapbook.

Paint
A water-based liquid colorant which is applied as a decoration or protective coating. Used in scrapbooking in many ways to colour and enhance pages and objects.

Paper Piecing
Creating an image or element layering, arranging and adhering several pieces of paper.

Paper Piercing
Making holes by piercing paper with a paper piercing tool for easy insertion of brads, sewing needles and other small items.

Paper Trimmer
A cutting device used in scrapbooking for cutting paper and photos in one easy step.

Patterned paper
Paper used in scrapbooking with a design printed on the paper. Can be single-sided or double sided.

ph level
A measure of acidity of an object, with 1 being very acidic and 14 being very alkaline.  For scrapbookers, it is preferred to have ph level of 7 or above.

Photo corners
Small pieces of paper or plastic which adhere to your page, and the corner of your photo sits in under or in the corner. Generally used in each corner of your photo and come in a variety of designs for scrapbooking. Good for holding a photo in place without putting any adhesive on the photo itself.

Photo safe
A marketing term indicating a product is free of acid and lignin, and safe to use with photos and memorabilia. 

Photo splits
Double-sided tape which is pre-cut into small squares for use in adhering photos. Usually considered permanent.

Photo turns
These are embellishments you can use to keep your photos or other flat pieces of paper in place on your page. Can come in different colours and sizes. Resemble the clips you find on the back of photo frames to hold them in place. 

Post-bound albums
Albums that are secured and held together with metal posts running through the pages.

Punches
Hand-held die-cutting devices that can cut paper into a variety of shapes.

PVC
A product in plastic that is damaging to photos. All scrapbooking should be done and stored using PVC-free plastics.
